India Basin and the southeastern shoreline is also home to a number of indigenous plants and a restored habitat.
A new park was recently carved out of the industrial shoreline along India Basin, just north of Hunters Point. In these pictures, the shipyard is visible in the distance. (1996 upper right and 1928 below)
